YOU CAN'T SUCCEED WITHOUT A GOAL

The first step to getting the things you want out of life is this:
decide what you want.

A set definite objective must be established if you're to accomplish anything in a big way. There is no achievement without a goal.

The world will turn aside to let you pass if you know where you're going.

Goals give you a starting place and a destination. You'll be able to determine what it will cost you to get there and you'll be going someplace.

Determine what you want. Decide on your major objectives, targets and destination. You can plant your own dream with a goal.

Successful people have goals. The only way to start to improve your life is to start. Once you're sure you're on the right road there is no need to plan your journey too far ahead. Don't burden yourself with doubts and fears as to the obstacles that may bar your progress. You can only take one step at a time.

You don't need to know all the answers in advance. Just maintain a clear idea of the goal you want to reach and the answers will come in their own time.

If you can get up the courage to begin, you'll have the courage to succeed.

It's the job you never start that takes the longest to finish. Go after what you want and you'll get it.

Words of wisdom, and so beautifully written, these are the words that many people from the TENNESSEE BFL group read often.  People in that group include Porter Freeman , Jerry Braam and Julie Whitt.  People who made that conscious decision that enough was enough.  People who decided one day that change was needed, that they are indeed actually RESPONSIBLE for their health, their outcomes and their life.  NO more could they ignore the truth, ignore their feelings, or the voices of many who pleaded change from within.  ONE day, they and many others decided that the way to a better life, is to look forward, create your future, and stop looking over your shoulder, looking backwards, looking at the past, and the WHAT IF'S

WHAT IF, I didn't decide to make that change and accept responsibility for my health and my life. WHAT IF the people who inspired change in our world, the people who write the music, write the books, the people who teach, the people who study, the people who invent things.  WHAT IF they just couldn't be bothered?  Can you imagine?

WHY do some people think they have all the time in the world to do something about their health. Some people wrongly believe that TOMORROW will be the day they take that step forward, but for many, TOMORROW never comes.  Do you think enough is enough?  Are you someone who has been thinking about this for a while now?.

Perhaps you thought about this about 11 months ago.  COME JANUARY I will make my new year resolutions and I'll lose weight and be healthy.  Did you?  Perhaps you thought that the month had passed, things got busy, and you would start in February.  Did that then soon become March.. oh wait a minute.. My birthday is on that month, I'll start in April. But hang on.. I love EASTER, and there is that long weekend holiday I've planned for so I'll start in May.  WELL did you?... or are you now waiting for JANUARY to come around again.  Please. If you see any truth in what I write, don't wait for tomorrow.  START TODAY, START NOW, and START TO LIVE.

This recipe serves 4

Ingredients:


1/4 cup low sodium tamari
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons freshly grated ginger root
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 package firm tofu
2 cups broccoli florets
3 cups julienne carrots
2 cups sliced shiitake mushrooms
1 red pepper, seeded and cut into strips
2 cups julienne bok choy
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Cooking instructions:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the tamari, rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon of the sesame oil, 1 tablespoon of the ginger root and 1 tablespoon of the garlic.
2. Cut the tofu into cubes, add it to the tamari mixture and marinate the tofu in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
3. In a nonstick pan, steam the broccoli and carrots in 2 cups of water for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
4. Wipe out the pan with a paper towel. Heat 1 teaspoon of the remaining sesame oil in the pan over high heat. With a slotted spoon, lift the tofu out of the marinade (reserve the marinade), add the tofu to the pan and brown it on all sides. Transfer the tofu to a plate.
5. Heat the remaining 2 teaspoons of sesame oil in the pan, add the mushrooms and cook for 2 minutes. Add the red peppers and bok choy and cook for 5 minutes more. Add the broccoli, carrots, the remaining ginger and the remaining garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Add the reserved marinade, simmer for a minute or two and add the browned tofu.
6. Divide the tofu, vegetables and sauce among 4 serving plates and garnish with sesame seeds.

How can I go past my good friend Jenny Hendershott on achieveing a LIFELONG goal of winning the OLYMPIA .
